What's In The Air Your Breathing

If you have a ducted heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system in your home, do you clean it regularly? This system is what circulates both heat and air conditioning throughout your home, however, it also captures common air pollutants such as common dust, animal dander if you have pets, shed skin cells (yuck!), mold spores and even trace cleaning chemicals used in everyday life.
These systems are designed to capture these contaminants, but depending on your household environment (how many people and pets living in a certain amount of square footage), the ducted systems should be routinely cleaned as there will come a point in which not only will they not be working efficiently, but they can actually start to emit the contaminants back into the living space, compromising the air quality in the home. This could be especially important if the home’s inhabitants have allergies or compromised immune systems.
